Chef Dammy has revealed plans to embark on a new cook-a-thon next month. The popular Nigerian Chef will this time attempt breaking the Guinness World Record for “the longest cooking marathon by an individual,” which is currently held by her Nigerian colleague, Hilda Baci.

In a recent video clip obtained by, Chef Dammy expressed her gratitude for the support she received from fans, well-wishers, and notable individuals in the society. As a result, she and her team have decided to organize another cook-a-thon program next month.

About Chef Dammy New Cook-A-thon

Dammy whose full names are Damilola Adeparusi also revealed that the new cook-a-thon will last for an impressive 150 hours (6 days, 6 hours). And will officially be registered with the Guinness World Records. This announcement aims to dispel any previous confusion or misunderstanding regarding her previous 120-hour cook-a-thon, which was not registered and never intended to challenge Hilda Baci’s record.

“This time, it will be held for 150 hours, and it will be duly registered with Guinness World Records. Chef Dammy is coming back!” she exclaimed with determination.

The emergence of several Nigerian cook-a-thon quests in recent times follows Hilda Baci’s earlier quest to cook for 100 hours and set the world record for the longest cooking time by an individual. However, before the Guinness World Records could review Hilda’s evidence and make a decision, Chef Dammy attempted a 120-hour cook-a-thon, which received criticism for undermining Hilda’s achievements.

Chef Dammy later clarified that her previous cook-a-thon was not an attempt to surpass Hilda’s unverified record. Instead, it served as a personal culinary challenge aimed at showcasing her abilities. With her upcoming cook-a-thon, she aims to make a legitimate and recognized attempt to set a new Guinness World Record.

Meanwhile, Nigerians are beginning to take serious attempts to break Guinness Records. Aside individuals revealing plans to embark on their own daring cook-a-thon, a Nigerian lecturer recently revealed plans to lecture for 150 hours. A female Nigerian artiste also shared the nod she got from GWR to embark on a painting attempt for three days.
